about jenn

A quiet, steady presence for the end of life

I’m Jenn, a trained death doula offering elevated, non‑medical support for those approaching the end-of-life and their families. My goals are to help you meet this transition with clarity, honor your authentic self, and move forward rooted in meaning, choice, and intention.

My path began in mid-life, when chronic pain taught me in my own body that feeling powerless is not the same as being without choice. Holistic support, breath, nature, and patience helped me learn steadiness—and showed me how intention can change everything.

my story

How I came to this work

Soon after, I cared for my mother through Stage IV cancer while raising two young children. Like so many families, we discovered the gaps—limited support, little guidance, and the hard truth that deeper conversations often come too late.

One night, after my mother accepted she was dying, she asked for red envelopes and handed each grandchild a simple, intentional gift. This is what death doulas call legacy work happening in real time. After she died, Northern Cardinals began appearing on the days I missed her most, and those red birds echoed her red envelopes. It felt like her love finding its way back to me.

That through-line—intention, presence, and the light people leave behind—is why I created Cardinal Light Doula Services, LLC. I offer elevated, nonmedical support so individuals and families can meet the end of life with clarity, meaning, and choice.

What I hold sacred in this work

You don't have to hold this alone.

Dying touches everyone in the room, not just the person at the center of it. I support the whole circle – spouses, children, chosen family – so no one is left carrying grief or logistics by themselves.

More Than Endurance.

I believe end-of-life can be more than something you endure. It can be something you meet with intention.

You lead. I'll help you shape it.

I want to help you curate your end-of-life as a meaningful, personal transition rather than leaving it to circumstance or systems.

Every family. Every age. Every belief.

I am an inclusive practitioner and I work with all families and clients of all ages.
